Shiloh Isaiah 48:18

Shiloh' is a hebrew word_ a name, reallly, that has more than one meaning . One is a gift from God , and the other meaning is 'peaceful one.' or Peace in the midst of pain, much like Shalom.

v.18

if only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea. ..your descendants would have been like the sand, your children like it's numberless grains; their name would never be blotted out nor destroyed from before me. ...

God our loving heavely Father has always known what is best for his children but his children have insisted that they know better what is best for them' and rebelled against his commands.

hear his heart! _ hear his 'if only' .. his arms are ever open to a contrite and broken heart. his letter to us is a love letter. .. the fences (commands) he put up for us have given us all the freedom we need.
