Beginning again

Today ‘a new day’ _to begin again with something that had to wait while urgent demands were front and center or ..perhaps it’s time to begin something entirely new . Everyone of us needs a new beginning at some point , time does not stand still ‘ ready or not … it moves onward, forward … events unfold from day to day .. and then suddenly or not so suddenly an opportunity presents itself _ ‘you have waited in periods of fog’ rain’ wind’ snow’ ice , feeling the crushing like the rolling dark skies’ that threaten ‘storm’… another deep breath ‘ you look up and see …just a sliver of light’ strong with desire to shine in full… warming your being ‘ the world around you’ and nature feels the nourish.

The greatest wonder of the world is the fact of having and knowing a Heavenly Father , his Name is Love his Nature is the same. Full of a Just Love, Love that is True’ deep and wide, his invitation to the entire world to ‘come to him for rest of soul heart mind and body is truly amazing …Amazing Grace is not just a nice song , it is what Jesus gave us in his coming to us _filled with truth and grace, to receive into your heart… . to not have this Eternal Hope leaves one un-tethered.. a term one of our daughters phrased in losing her own father as of late.. her packed calendar of details for his care, now stare at her with wide open …empty’ spaces. .. for ‘what’s next’. …

Our ageless Father …a God of Tears for heartache and loss, a Father undeniably Merciful , Faithful Friend, Kind king, Compassionate Counsellor , this is who we have been given access to’ .. to walk and talk with him’ to know Him .. this is who we have …an Eternal Tether’ …nothing can really stop his plan , his purposes, in us & thru us _his love_ he has only one deep desire for us’ to love him back ‘for he knows our frame , he knows we are but dust, and without him we can do nothing of eternal value.

Prayer of Dimitri of Rostov, a seventeenth century Russian bishop (D.O.)

Enter, o my Light, and enlighten my darkness;

Enter, O my Life, and resurrect my deadness;

Enter ,O my Physician , and heal my wounds;

Enter , O my King, and destroy in me the kingdom of sin’

Sit on the throne of my heart and reign in me alone,

O Thou, my King and Lord

*i can begin again, Ephesians 1:19-20 The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in me.
